Vengeance Is Mine

Thus saith the Lord.

Truly, I thought I knew the worst of the Current Administration, staffed and propped up as it has been by bullies, thieves, liars, scofflaws, and fornicators. And liars. Not to mention bumblers. And did I say liars?

Besides, you know that I am a little sunbeam. I prefer to accentuate the positive, in the immortal words of Al Jarreau.

But today I was listening to an edition of This American Life that describes the depths to which this administration will stoop, and truly, the sheer meanness, the unmitigated nastiness simply takes my breath away. For comfort, I turn to the Bible:

1Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;

2To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!

3And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?
